LIP BLUSH

Lip blushing is a cosmetic procedure that involves inserting pigment into the upper layers of the skin, also known as the epidermis. Results vary between 1 to 3 years. Annual refreshers are recommended to keep color looking fresh and defined.

Return before pigment has faded over 50%

Benefits include:

  • Enhancing natural lip color and shape

  • Creating a fuller appearance without fillers

  • Adding definition to the lip line

  • Correcting asymmetry or uneven color

  • Camouflaging scars

  • Saving time on makeup application

  • Provides long-lasting, natural-looking results that require minimal touch-ups, making it a convenient option for many people

How it works:

  • A tattoo machine is used to deposit pigment into the epidermis

  • Create a custom color while considering natural skin tone and undertones

  • Topical lidocaine is used to numb clients before and throughout the procedure

  • Pigment is strictly placed on the lip skin with 1 to 2mm leniency (typically done to correct asymmetry). Lips don’t have pores the way facial skin does, so too much over-lining can heal unpredictable and darker.

What to expect:

  • The lips will be swollen immediately after the procedure. Typically within two hours, the majority will naturally subside

  • Lips may be blanched immediately post procedure. Numbing products work by restricting the blood flow to the area. This can cause certain areas of the lips to appear lighter or a white color. Give your body about an hour for the lidocaine to fully wear off and watch the color slowly set in and become darker

  • Minimal flaking may occur as you heal, apply Aquaphor consistently throughout the day

  • Pigment is darkest days 1-3, but will fade to the desired shade as the lips heal

  • Procedure length typically takes 1-2.5 hours including numbing time, forms, and consulting

  • 6-8 weeks after your appointment, the skin will be fully healed & you may return for your FREE touchup

  • Aftercare cards will be given at the appointment to take home and thoroughly explained. Aftercare is the same after any and every appointment, hold onto your card if possible
